March Will be a Glorious Month for Sneakers
Kicks are a lifestyle as much as ball or being a fan of Game of Thrones is. In this lifestyle, sneaker heads always have their ear to the ground as to when the next pair of must-have collectibles is about to drop. Turns out this March of 2016 is turning out to be a big one for unique and collectible shoes that many sneaker advocates are going to want to add to their forever expanding closet.
Being possibly their boldest running shoe to date, Nike dropped the Nike Air Presto Safari’s this past weekend to start out the Month of March the right way. In an age where it seems like innovation is saved mainly for basketball sneakers and Yeezy editions, it’s nice to see the classic running shoe get a little bit of eccentric love.
Asics will be surprisingly joined the March Madness Fray with the Gore-Tex-Clad GEL Lyte V “Ice.” We don’t typically see a look this out there from the rather “stick to the basics” brand, so we’re adding it to the list as a form of pat on the back.
In honor of the legendary Kobe Bryant’s last season in the NBA, Nike will be releasing the Kobe 11 Elite 4KB’s on March 14th. Following the flyknit trend, these sneakers are sure to be a favorite for collectors and casual wearers alike.
Gaining momentum as quickly as Steph Curry’s rise to the top (sorry, we had to), Nike’s LeBron’s are starting to earn their place among elite sneakers for pretty damn cool designs. Dropped on March 9th, the Nike LeBron 13 Lava’s are certainly no exception.
And you know this list wouldn’t be complete with throwing a Jordans release in the mix. The Air Jordan Air Low “Fire Red’s” and the Royal Blue 4G’s will both be releasing tomorrow.
While the threads you pick up here at Royal Blue really makes your style comes full circle, we always keep in mind that the right sneakers can also be a major key *DJ Khaled voice*.
