Diddy Retires from Music
Say it ain’t so, the man at the top of the music game has finally announced a descent from his beat-bumping throne. Surely, his presence and constant relevancy will be missed. Of course we’re talking about Sean Puff Daddy Combs (aka P. Diddy), and we’re also being completely sarcastic about it. As if anyone listening to popular music today would notice, last week, the Bad Boy Records founder announced his retirement from the music industry.
In a statement to Aceshowbiz, Diddy stated, “I’m going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films. I want to stop at a great place. And a final album is a great place to stop. I want to take a victory lap, to do a world tour and really enjoy it one last time.” No word on an announcement date for the tour or album yet but we certainly wish the best to the legendary 90’s hip-hop figure. Not to mention, Diddy was probably one of the funniest parts in the movie, “Get Him To the Greek.” Do you think Diddy’s transition from music to films will be as smooth as his Ciroc Vodka, or as rocky as the success of Making The Band?
