Miley Cyrus Keeps Catching Beef with the Rap Community

For a while, it was a little entertaining to see former Mickey Mouse puppet, Miley Cyrus, fully accept and celebrate her adult train wreck status as opposed to fighting it like the child stars before her. But now, Cyrus is starting to remind everyone of that annoying ass girl who tries really hard to be interesting but just isn’t, and the Rap community is starting to hate her for it. Sometime in between randomly sticking out her tongue and rubbing her crotch on stage, Cyrus found the time to make some comments about female rapper Nicki Minaj in an interview before the VMA’s. When asked about her view on the now-squashed Minaj & Taylor Swift feud, Cyrus claimed that “what [she] read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind.” This lead to Nicki to address the issue on the air after accepting the award for best rap video, in which Miley awkwardly responded with claiming that the media twisted her words. Nicki isn’t buying it and we aren’t either. And as if Cyrus couldn’t look any worse, in a separate interview she claimed that the hit record “LSD”, was performed by Kendrick Lamar as opposed to A$AP Rocky. This caught the attention of credible up and coming lyricist, Vince Staples.

Staples tells i-D Magazine that, “She didn’t know who she was talking about. Kendrick Lamar doesn’t have a song about LSD – that’s A$AP Rocky. So is it either you don’t know what you’re talking about or is it all black people look alike? Either one is fine with me but shut the fuck up, Miley Cyrus.”
