Nike Turns 3-Dimensional

The future of sneakers is near with Nike’s proposed 3D printing concept. Waiting in lines or camping out for the next kicks to drop will be a thing of the past when sneakerheads will be able to create, customize and PRINT their own sneakers. Customers would be able to print their creations from their very own homes or pick it up from a local Nike store in less than 24 hrs. How it works is this; You send your creation file to the printer, and the design is downloaded into the 3D printing machine. From there, a laser fuses layers of material together to create your dream nikes. The whole process seems pretty far fetch, but Nike’s top exec confirmed that we could be 3D printing our own super exclusives pretty soon.
