Aqib Talib Goes Straight for the Eye
We’ve all had a situation where we’re playing a competitive game and we get a little frustrated that we’re losing. Some of us get, quiet, some of us get defensive, and others try and gouge out other people’s eyeballs. And now we know that The Mountain from Game of Thrones (Rest in Peace to Prince Oberyn, we miss you, homie) isn’t the only who does this when they’re annoyed at a competitions outcome. In last Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos cornerback, Aqib Talib stuck his fingers into the eye of an opposing player on purpose after a dispute about a play. This idiotic and immature move not only pretty much cost Denver the game, but it also stopped Peyton Manning from breaking the all-time passing record that particular night. Talib has been suspended for one game for the bone headed move, but he claims the poke was an accident, and that he was aiming for Dwayne Allen’s helmet and not his face. Alib claim’s:
“From my angle, I see (Allen) head butt Von a little bit. I went over to poke his head, and I think my hand slipped and hit his face,” Talib said “He acted like he got in an 18-passenger car wreck. I guess that’s what type of guy he is.”
In other words: “Hey Dwayne, sounds to me like you’re a bit of a bitch."
