Adidas Teams Up with BAPE to Bring New Fire to Your Feet

If 2016 is sure to go down as one thing; it’s the year of powerhouse collaborations. Typically, most team-ups were between two entities that were already similar, but in 2016, we saw those barriers broken down. Comedians dropped athletic wear, tech companies created wearable-tech with apparel brands, and rappers started cooking shows with veteran TV home makers. That’s why after seeing Adidas had teamed up with BAPE at the end of this big year, we’re not necessarily surprised, but sure as hell excited.

Dropping November 26th for $150, the BAPE x Adidas NMD R1’s will be the first collaboration between the two companies, and will marry together themes both brands have been heavily known for. The colorways of the shoes will come in either a green camo or purple camo; a staple pattern design of the BAPE brand. You’ll find that notorious ape logo placed on the sides, tongue, and inside of each shoe, as well as being cleverly integrated into the camo itself. As for the shoe structure, it will still look like your typical NMD R1’s, featuring a cloth ankle and shock-absorbent rubber sole pattern that has seemed to be extremely popular. Are you a fan of BAPE and excited for their most recent shoe giant collaboration? How tough do you think it’ll be to get a sneaker that’s associated with such a popular streetwear brand? Head over to Adidas or BAPE to keep an eye out for exact release times!
