The Internet Implodes from Kevin Durant Going to The Warriors
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard LeBron James say the fateful words, “I’m taking my talents to South Beach.”, and surely, we will all remember where we were when we heard that Kevin Durant is on his way to join Steph Curry. On July 4th, 2016, like a frustrated pre-teen trying to go undefeated in NBA 2K, Kevin Durant signed a 2-year player option deal with the best team in the West, The Golden State Warriors. Our question is, where the hell is Adam Silver to veto this trade like he did Chris Paul going to the Lakers? Who knows why this shit was allowed to go down, but we’re sure every team is already hitting the game tape and white boards to try and figure out how they’ll beat this new super team come October. But in the meantime, everyone and their mother gave their input on the power move made by KD and The Warriors.
We imagine LeBron’s reaction wasn’t too far off from this…

The City of Oklahoma is quick to move on.
Yup, the Vegas odds for The Warriors to be the next 2016-2017 NBA champs jumped every other team’s chances after the KD signing was announced, but what’s actually the biggest reason? Not the stellar lineup, but the mere fact that Kevin Durant joined Lil’ B The Based God’s favorite team. If you’re a fan of basketball, you probably know that many of Durant’s “close but no cigar” struggles over the past 4 or 5 years have come from the dreaded Based God’s Curse put on his career. Well now it is lifted, and his future has never looked brighter.
What do you think of The Warriors chances to win it all now? Is this going to be an exciting upcoming season, or a boring and predictable one-team show?
