With the creation and easy access of social media, many top artists who don’t need the journalism to push their notoriety stay away from the press altogether. Top musical acts such as The Weeknd, Drake, J. Cole, Daft Punk, and Future, all are known for practically never giving interviews; essentially not trusting magazines and other entities to keep their words true. Well, leave it to Apple to get out exclusive content at all facades, because with the help of legendary British radio DJ Zane Lowe, Apple Music has brought rare and lengthy interviews from The Weeknd, Drake, and now, even Atlanta Rap icon, Future.
To discuss his two newest albums, “HNDRXX” and his self-titled LP, Future sat down with Zane Lowe for a full, 30-minute interview to discuss a whole slew of topics. The two top dogs talk about Future’s most recent hiatus (which would be considered a short break for most in the music industry), how it helped his creative process, and even how he feels about how his fans and other musicians view his career and rise to the top. For someone who’s known for not doing interviews, we were pleasantly surprised to see how much dialogue of substance Future had for Zane. How much did you like Future’s two newest LP’s, HNDRXX and his self-titled album? And are you going to try to catch him on his upcoming tour?
